Pre-Operative Joint Replacement Education & Pre-Admission Testing
For your convenience, we have combined your pre-operative education class with your pre-admission testing. During this half-day session, you will:
- Complete your pre-admission testing
- Learn what to expect during and after your hospital stay
- Have questions about your surgery answered
- Meet with our Joint Replacement Center staff
Rehabilitation - Starting the Day After Joint Replacement Surgery
Rehabilitation in the hospital usually starts the morning after your surgery and continues until you are discharged. Under the supervision of our highly-skilled physical therapists and occupational therapists, most patients:
- Are standing and walking the first day after surgery
- Receive an individual therapy session, followed by group therapy twice a day
- Return home within three days after surgery
