How to Give to the Grand View Health Foundation
Through the generosity of our donors,
Grand View Hospital staff is able to enhance the quality of the health-care services we provide to our community. In appreciation of these gifts, we are pleased to offer recognition opportunities. Donors of $1,000 or more are considered Lifetime Members and receive invitations to special events throughout the year, including the Annual Dinner in September. Lifetime Members also receive special courtesies should they be hospitalized. Naming opportunities and plaque recognition is available for larger gifts. Gifts of $100 and more are recognized in our
Annual Report.
How to Give
- By Mail (Check or Credit Card): You may choose to contribute by writing a check that will be put to work right away helping those who Grand View serves. Please make your check payable to "Grand View Health Foundation." Download a gift form to return by mail along with your check or credit card information.
- Online (Credit Card): Using our secure website, you may use your credit card to make an immediate gift online. Donate now.
- Gifts of Appreciated Securities: Many people are holding stocks in their portfolio that have greatly appreciated since they were purchased. When you give a gift of appreciated stock to the Grand View Health Foundation, you avoid paying the 15% long-term capital gains tax that you would if you sold the stock. When you itemize your deductions, you are also entitled to receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time that you give it. This is a great strategy for donors who have held stocks for many years, especially when the dividends are low and you would be giving up very little cash flow to make the gift.
When filing your federal income taxes, your gifts to Grand View Hospital are fully deductible when you itemize your deductions. You may also make a gift to cover the medical expenses of another person without incurring gift taxes.

Planned Gifts
Grand View's Visionary Society recognizes people who make a bequest or in some other way plan a gift to ensure that Grand View's work will continue for generations to come. Visionaries are invited to special programs throughout the year, and their names are included on a Visionary Society plaque located in the main lobby of the hospital. |
