Hospice Volunteer Training Course
The Hospice Program at Grand View Hospital is committed to meeting the needs of terminally ill patients and their families with skill, caring, and compassion. Volunteers are a vital part of this program.
We are looking for caring people willing to share their time and presence in this important ministry. Training includes instruction in Hospice philosophy, listening and communication skills, the experience of death, dying, and grief, and practical information needed to assist patients and their families.
Our next training sessions will begin shortly on September 9, 2013. Classes will be held on Monday evenings 6-9pm. It is a 7 week training session.
If you are interested in this rewarding work, please call Volunteer Coordinator Michelle Bongiovanni, RN, at 215-453-4149 to register and schedule an interview. Deadline for registration is August 19, 2013.
