Going Home
When medically appropriate, your doctor will write an order allowing you to leave Grand View Hospital, or be "discharged." This discharge order specifies the date you may leave the hospital, as well as any special instructions about needed care after you leave. Once you receive your instructions, we suggest that you arrange for someone to take you home, as it is not advisable to drive immediately after hospitalization.
