If you are a member of a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), your health plan may require you to obtain a referral from your family doctor before seeing a specialist. When requesting a referral, please call with your appointment time, include the specialist's name and phone number, the diagnosis and any procedures needed. Our office requires 72 hours to process your request, so please call us at least three working days before your scheduled appointment with the specialist.
Most medications can be refilled at your regularly scheduled appointment.. Please allow 24 to 48 hours to refill maintenance medications.
Most results are available 48 to 72 hours after the test is completed. After the doctor has reviewed the results, one of our nurses will call you. Please call our office if you do not receive a call from the nurse within a week. Do not assume that the results are negative if you do not receive a call.
